Overview

At Allcock & Marcus, Jake will be an integral member of the firm’s litigation team, focusing his practice on condominium and real estate litigation, including construction defect and zoning matters.

Jake earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, where he maintained a Trustee Academic Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. He gained valuable experience through internships with the City of Quincy Solicitor’s Office and the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association, where he assisted in drafting an Amicus Curiae brief in the landmark case Attorney General v. Town of Milton (2025). Jake’s work involved a wide range of municipal law matters, including zoning and land use, open meeting law, and election law. His work on the Town of Milton case led him to develop particular expertise in Section 8 of Chapter 150 of the Acts of 2024, which permits by-right construction of accessory dwelling units (“ADUs”) under 900 square feet in single-family zoning districts.

Jake brings a fresh and insightful perspective to zoning, land use, and construction defect matters. Having viewed zoning issues from both the client’s and the municipality’s standpoint, he offers a well-rounded understanding of the process that few attorneys possess.
